Coherent Raman micro-spectroscopy of Cancer Cells

Categories: Vibrational Spectroscopy

Details

We are using a multiplexed Stimulated Raman Scattering microscope to perform vibrational imaging of Cancer Stem Cells and cancer tissues. One of the main aims of this research activity is to unveil their specific bio-chemical signatures, with a particular focus on quantitative imaging of lipids, to elucidate mechanisms behind dysregulation of lipid metabolism in cancer cells.
